Senior Pastor of Blessing AG Church

Blessing AG Church had a very humble and prudent beginning in the year 1990 on march 7th. We started this ministry in three houses with 30 believers across Nagercoil by Rev. C. Dhas with the enlightenment of God’s presence and his guidance. Later, it began to grow through the consistent preaching of God’s word, prevailing prayer and faith. Despite many trials God provided a building in the same year (1990, Nov 4), then we as church moved to Palace Road, Blessing AG Campus on that day onwards.

From that day onwards, God has been so faithful to this church according to the verse “On this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.” Matthew 16:18. Through different spiritual conventions and meetings the church began to grow. God brought different families from different parts of Nagercoil and around Kanyakumari District. The church faced difficulties in certain periods through believers and outsiders. But God enabled the church to sustain in spiritual path. The church gets its recognition from Assemblies Of God on 11th July 1991.

Pastor Blessen D. Higgins

 On 17th June,2015 Rev. Blessen D. Higgins, s/o Rev. C. Dhas appointed as the Church Pastor of Blessing AG Church by the Tamil District Committee of SIAG.

The Church is growing and God is doing something new in every day ministry. On 26th December 2017, the church building first floor construction was started along with balcony and on October 2020 half of its work was completed. The plan is to have the church service in the first floor and which will be the main hall of Blessing AG Church.

The Vision

Blessing Assembly of God Church exists for Jesus as a movement of the Holy Spirit for revival in Nagercoil city & the whole Kanyakumari District. Discipleship occurs when we are intentional in living out the teachings of Jesus within community. We submit to the command of Scripture to love one another and this cannot happen if our lives do not intersect in good community fellowship. Our vision is expressed in three forms.

Great Commission (Mathew 28:18-20): Reach the Unreached with Gospel.
• Church Planting (Acts 1:8): Planting Churches in unreached areas.
• Helping Hand (2 Timothy 2:2): Supporting various churches and missionaries.
• Spiritual Leadership (Hebrews 13:16): Mentoring next generation leaders for future.

  • Association with Church:The church is a community that cares for its people. We follow the Biblical principle of “Loving, Sharing, Praying, and Edifying one another”
  • Association with Community:The church is a community that cares for fellow humankind. The Bible tells about preaching the Gospel to all the ends of the earth. We give priority to reach the unreached through different outreach ministry.
